Dr. Jürg Reinhard
Doctor Jürg Reinhard was born on May 1, 1947, in Biel, Switzerland. He graduated in theoretical physics from the University of Zurich in 1966 and, afterwards, he started his medical studies at the University of Berne, obtaining his degree in 1978. Two years later, he took his doctorate. He specialized in internal medicine, surgery, and ophthalmology. He worked in Interlaken for years, in the canton of Ticino, and at Insel Hospital, in the canton of Berne.
Following this period, Reinhard wanted to round out his learning in allopathic medicine by studying Anthroposophy. He studied in Dornach, Arlesheim, and trained in homeopathy, cranial and auricular acupuncture, and neural therapy. Once this wide-ranging medical training was completed, he opened a natural or "complementary medicine" practice under the principles of Anthroposophy. He subsequently created a homeopathic method of self-help, and then he established his own company of natural medicine in Zweisimmen, Berne.
In 1990, he closed his practice to devote his life to written and oral teaching. He carried out an important didactic enterprise with doctors and therapists, and gave lectures on anthroposophic medicine in Switzerland and Germany. He published a pair of well-known books in German: Heilung aus dem Kosmos and Unerhörtes aus der Medizin, published by Hallwag. His first book published in Spanish was Medicines of the Soul: Gentle Therapies with your own Medicine
. At present, he is contributing to the recording of videos on complementary medicine in Germany.
